Freeware and Adware - Perbedaannya

Seringkali orang awam salah mengartikan "adware" yang gratis dan mudah didapat dimana-mana sebagai "freeware", yang berarti software / program PC gratis dan tanpa lisensi.

Beberapa hal yang perlu anda ketahui adalah, Adware dalam Bahasa Indonesia berarti:
Ad : Iklan
Ware: Barang / Produk (dalam kasus ini adalah software)

Sedangkan Freeware dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti:
Free: Gratis, bebas
Ware: Barang / Produk (dalam kasus ini adalah software)

Dari pemecahan kata tadi ,kita bisa mengartikan adware adalah: Software Iklan.
Jadi, jangan langsung kesal ketika mendownload adware lalu yang keluar adalah hanya versi demo / trial software tersebut, atau bahkan hanya berisi petunjuk mendownload dan beberapa screenshot software tersebut (karena itu ukuran adware biasanya kecil, karena seringkali hanya berisi readme, lalu execution iklan produk tsb.)

Bagi anda yang mungkin pernah terkena "tipuan" adware, saya akan berikan petunjuk singkat bagaimana membedakan FREEWARE dan ADWARE.

2.Perhatikan ukuran file yang didownload. Gunakanlah logika anda. Bayangkan,
software Adobe Photoshop CS4 yang seharusnya berukuran file besar (sudah tentu, itu kan
software berbayar yang MAHAL dan RESMI / KOMERSIAL) menjadi sangat kecil (misalkan
semestinya 200MB menjadi 12MB). Bisa jadi itu adalah adware walaupun di download link-nya
tidak tertulis kalau itu adware.

3. Jika sudah terlanjur didownload, perhatikan isi file yang tersimpan. Jika tidak ada installer, maka bisa saja itu adalah adware (tetapi coba saja dulu...)

Jika membuka adware di HANDPHONE anda, coba perhatikan:
Terkadang, yang keluar bukanlah aplikasi HP anda, melainkan beberapa opsi seperti "Use / Play Now", "Rate It", "Open Website / URL", "Purchase / Buy Software", "Get Free Application".
Opsi / pilihan-pilihan tersebut bisa diartikan sebuah iklan bukan? Iklan untuk membuka website asal (demi tujuan promosi) atau bahkan aplikasi dari developer yang sama.

Hal tersebut juga berlaku bagi beberapa adware PC.
Kesimpulannya adalah, kita harus berhati-hati dan menggunakan logika ketika mendownload suatu software / aplikasi yang semestinya BERBAYAR menjadi GRATIS (kecuali torrent atau freeware)

Tahukah Anda, 95% toko PC game di Indonesia menjual game bajakan?
Seringkali, ketika anda mencoba untuk menginstall game, pasti membutuhkan suatu "serial number" (atau "CD Key") bukan?
Nah, biasanya jika membeli game original, pasti sudah tersedia serial number yang dimaksud.
Namun, untuk game bajakan (game yang sering dibeli warga Indonesia!) biasanya tidak terdapat selembar catatan / kertas kecil ataupun nomor serial yang dimaksud didalam boks / casing game yang dibeli.
Biasanya, sang pembajak game menyediakan "crack" atau "keygen" atau bahkan serial number yang dimaksud di dalam direktori CD game Anda. Nah, guide ini akan membantu Anda menginstall game bajakan agar dapat berjalan dengan benar dan ter-unlock full version-nya.

PART 1: CRACK
Crack adalah suatu teknik untuk me-replace / menimpa file execution (.exe) atau file library (.dll) yang telah terinstall.
Cara memakainya adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Buka direktori CD game anda, coba cari file / folder yang berisikan "crack" (terdapat icon bernama software / game anda)
2. Install game anda terlebih dahulu. Jika harus menggunakan keygen, lihat di PART 2: KEYGEN.
3. Setelah selesai, copy - paste file "crack" yang anda temukan tadi ke direktori / file dimana anda meng-install game anda (direktori game anda)
4. Jika itu adalah file .exe, copy langsung kedalam direktori utama, jika file "crack" adalah "Runtime Library" / .dll, copy ke folder yang berisikan file .dll yang serupa (bernama sama).
TIPS: Jika pada folder tempat file "crack" disimpan terdapat readme, baca perintah yang terdapat di readme tersebut.

PART 2: KEYGEN
Keygen (atau Key Generator) adalah suatu teknik membajak product code agar dapat menghasilkan serial code / activation code suatu file. Bahkan ada keygen instan yang tidak membutuhkan product code (mis. keygen Warcraft III).

Cara memakai adalah sebagai berikut:
Untuk game-game mini (buatan Reflexive, GameHouse, PopCap, Bigfish, atau Oberon Games):
1. Install game anda terlebih dahulu.
2. Buka keygen yang terdapat di folder game yang dimaksud (di CD game Anda!!!)
3. Coba buka game anda.
4. Pasti game anda hanya versi trial / coba-coba. Coba klik (untuk Reflexive Games) coba klik "Already Pay"
5. Klik "Give Product ID" (atau apapun yang menunjukkan bahwa anda ingin product code-nya)
6. Copy-paste product ID-nya kedalam Keygen (isian "Product ID")
7. Klik Generate (pada keygen yang terbuka)
8. Copy serial number yang telah ter-generate.
9. Pilih jendela permainan anda di taskbar, coba cari pilihan "Enter Activation Code". Paste serial number yang telah digenerate kedalam isian yang ada di pilihan "Enter Activation Code".
10. Klik OK. Enjoy your game!!

PART 3: Serial Number (and extras)
Serial number digunakan dalam beberapa kasus. Beberapa game membutuhkan serial number saat proses install, beberapa saat game berlangsung.

Cara pakainya simpel, coba buka file notepad berisi CD key / serial number game anda di CD game anda, kemudian catat nomor tersebut (jangan dicopy-paste, beberapa query / isian serial number tidak otomatis memisah CD key menjadi part - part / bagian-bagian.).

Setelah itu, masukkan serial number secara berurutan pada "proses" di game (saat penginstallan maupun pada saat game berlangsung, tergantung kasus)
FINISH!!

ATTENTION: Ekstensi adalah akhiran / deskripsi tipe suatu file, misalkan .doc (untuk Word), .mpeg4 (video), .mp3 (musik), .jpeg (foto).
Kebanyakan orang mengenal 4 ekstensi file video dasar, yaitu:

Mpeg4 Video : Biasanya buat video HP layar lebar atau iPod
AVI : Audio - Video, kebanyakan file yang dimainkan di HP symbian maupun Sony Ericsson berekstensi ini, karena dapat dicari dengan mudah di internet.
Mpeg4 (CD / DVD) : Saudara dari Mpeg4 Video, kali ini biasanya dipakai di CD atau DVD untuk dimainkan di DVD player / komputer (bukan di HP atau iPod)
Mov: File video dasar yang dikhususkan untuk Quicktime Player

Sebetulnya masih ada beberapa ekstensi video, yang cukup penting dan patut diketahui adalah:

flv: Adalah jenis ekstensi video yang biasa di pakai situs YouTube. Karena itu nama software untuk mendownload video dari YouTube adalah FLV Downloader.
3gp: Ekstensi ini sangat sering digunakan HP berkamera mainstream / low-end (murah) untuk rekaman video.
swf: file video yang hanya bisa dibuka oleh Macromedia Flash
wma video: wma adalah suatu multiekstensi, dapat ditemukan di berbagai video, lagu, bahkan gambar / foto sekalipun. Ingat, yang bisa dijadikan video adalah: WMA video.

Pertama-tama, download software Moyea YouTube FLV Downloader lewat link di posting saya yang berjudul: "Download Video from YouTube!".

Kemudian, download Total Video Converter VIA TORRENT di link berikut:

(klik Download.torrent)

Setelah kedua software telah Anda download, buka situs YouTube, lalu cari video yang anda inginkan.
Setelah berhasil menemukan video yang anda cari, ikuti petunjuk berikut:

Buka Moyea YouTube FLV Downloader
Klik kanan di panel tengah (berwarna putih), kemudian klik New.
Akan keluar jendela "New Download". Biarkan jendela tersebut terbuka, minimize.
Di halaman video yang Anda cari di YouTube, coba cari kotak yang bertuliskan:
URL (kotak berisi alamat URL video tersebut) pada bagian kanan atas.
Block / Copy seluruh isi dari kotak URL tersebut.
Kemudian, kembali buka Moyea YouTube FLV Downloader yang di-minimize, paste kode URL yang tadi di-copy kedalam kolom URL: _________
Jika ingin, ubah folder tempat video anda disimpan dengan mengganti direktori penyimpanan di kolom Folder:________
Rubah nama file video anda dengan judul asli (agar lebih jelas) dengan mengetikkan judul di kolom Save As:_________.flv (biarkan tulisan .flv , jangan dihapus)
Checklist kotak Convert to Video (penting!)
Beri Note tambahan bila perlu (misalkan: Ini musik rock)
Klik OK
Jika sudah 100% (lihat di panel tengah), buka folder penyimpanan, lalu check apakah file FLV (video dari YouTube) yang Anda inginkan sudah tersimpan.

Nah, bagi yang tidak mau repot mendownload FLV player dari internet, gunakanlah Total Video Converter yang sudah di download (install terlebih dahulu, gunakan serial code yang disediakan untuk men-unlock full version) agar bisa mengkonversi (merubah jenis file) kedalam bentuk yang dapat dibuka WinAmp atau Windows Media Player(mpg, mov, avi, mp3).

Buka Total Video Converter yang sudah terinstall.
Klik tombol "New Task", pilih Import Files.
Browse / cari lokasi video .flv yang Anda baru saja download, klik dua kali pada file video yang dimaksud (dapat digunakan untuk tipe video lain, mis. mpg, mpeg4, dll.)
Pilih jenis file sesuai yang anda inginkan. Untuk Video, saya sarankan jenis Mpeg4 Video atau 3GP Video. (extra: bagi video klip musik, bisa anda pilih jenis file mp3, jadi nantinya file anda akan dikonversi menjadi mp3 / suaranya saja. Selain lebih ringan, jadi mudah disebarkan)
Selesai memilih, Anda akan dikembalikan ke jendela awal. Lihat pada panel kiri atas. File yang anda pilih telah dimasukkan kedalam list kerja dan siap dikonversi.
Jika ingin mengubah tempat penyimpanan file yang telah dikonversi (tenang, file asli tidak terhapus), coba cek kolom Output File pada bagian kanan, kemudian klik kotak disebelahnya, lalu browse / pilih folder penyimpanannya.
Jika sudah siap, klik Convert Now. (jangan sekali-sekali merubah kualitas file dan subtitle)
Akan muncul jendela proses konversi, tunggu sampai selesai.
Buka folder penyimpanan video yang telah dikonversi, coba cek apakah sudah tersimpan file yang baru saja dikonversi.

Dual OS Installation - Microsoft Windows and Linux Mandriva

This is a tutorial on how to create a dual boot with a flavor of Linux and Windows XP(using the NTFS file system) using the GRUB boot loader. For this tutorial I specifically used Redhat Linux 7.2, but from what I understand this will work with Mandrake 8.2 as well. Also, while some of the things discussed in this tutorial may seem obvious to the more advanced members of DevHood, please remember that this tutorial is made so that even if someone has no prior experience with Linux or doing a clean install, they can still set up a dual boot with XP using the GRUB boot loader. If you think that you do not need this tutorial or do not wish to learn more on the topic, please do not continue reading.

I wrote this tutorial because when I first attempted this I thought I knew what I was doing, and quickly found out I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I even started a thread that asked for advice on this topic, which can be found here (if you do a search on DevHood for Dual booting, you’ll find that my thread is not the first one about this topic, nor is it the last). Unfortunately, there are just so many little things that people assume others know. When I finally got enough info to make a dual boot, I decided to write this tutorial to give people like myself a helping hand, by writing a how-to on dual-booting. Also, I noticed that a large amount of people that attempted this using the NTFS file system for their XP partitions experience problems that force them to convert their XP partitions to the less secure FAT32 file system. Using the GRUB boot loader solves this problem.

This tutorial is aimed at the following people:
• People looking to EASILY set up a Linux / XP system.
• People that are interested in the new GRUB boot loader and how to implement it.
• People that are just looking for something to do with their free time.=)

Preparation before the Installation:
There are a few things that we need to have before we can start. Obviously, we need a copy of both Windows XP and Linux(either Mandrake 8.2 or Redhat 7.2).
The easiest way to obtain a copy of Linux is to download the bootable ISO’s from a site and burn them to a CD-R. The official list of mirror sites to download from for Mandrake 8.2 can be found here and the list of mirror sites for Redhat 7.2 can be found here. I recommend the use of the mirror sites over the actual companies’ site, because the companies’ FTP server tends to be really slow.

In order to burn the ISO’s into a CD, you must have a third-party CD burning program. The native burner which is built into Windows XP DOES NOT have the ability to do this. It will only copy the ISO onto the cd which does you no good(Look at the very bottom of this tutorial for a brief explanation on this).

The final preparation step is to back up all your files(Don't forget your e-mails!! - I lost over a thousand e-mails from my first semester because I forgot to back them up!).

Partitioning, Formatting, and Installing XP:
Once, you’ve backed up all of your files that you wish to save(don’t forget your e-mails!), you’re ready to begin. It is good practice to install Windows XP first since it does not have the level of customization that Linux does(XP has the nasty habit of taking the first partition it finds).

Pop in the XP installation CD and restart. When your Computer’s start up screen comes up, enter the BIOS setup by pressing the necessary key(s). Set it up to have your computer boot from your CD drive. When the CD boots up, you’ll be greeted with the standard Windows XP set-up screen.

The next step is to use the fdisk partitioning utility and carve your hard drive into partitions. Fdisk comes with XP. After you ok the installation for the first time it willlet you delete your current hard disk and partition it. How you partition your hard disk is up to you and what your system can handle. I did the following on my 40 GB hard drive:

15GB for XP and applications (NTFS)
1GB for XP Swap/Paging File (NTFS – not necessary for XP)
16.5GB for Data and Files (FAT32)
7.5 GB for Linux (Will be formatted during the Linux install)

I decided to make the Data and Files partition FAT32, because that way both Linux and XP can read and write to it (Linux can read from NTFS, but writing to it is still “experimental” and not suggested). After you partition the hard drive you format the partition XP on using NTFS (make sure that your XP partition is the FIRST partition).

Continue with the XP setup and finish installing. Once you’re done, you can format the other partitions (not necessary for the Linux partition though) by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. There are tools in there that you can use to format your partitions and make them recognizable and usable in Windows.

Partitioning, Formatting, and Installing Linux:
The Linux install is only slighty more complicated, but is faster ( ~20min). Pop-in the 1st Linux CD and restart again. Your system should still be set to boot from CD, so the Linux installation screen should come up. You want to do just an install. In Redhat 7.2 this brings up the installation GUI for Linux. When it asks you what kind of installation you would like to perform you want to select “custom” or “expert” (custom is the easier of the two, only use expert if you are sure that you know what you are doing!), since you’ll need to tell Linux what partition to install on.

Setup will eventually ask you what program you want to use to partition your hard drive. I chose to use Disk Druid. It’s a pretty easy utility to use and it has a GUI (unlike fdisk which is command line). Linux will recognize your Windows partitions and show them. If Windows decided to format your Linux partition to FAT16 (mine did for some weird reason…) just delete it. Out of the free space left on your hard drive you need to make the following partitions:

50MB for Boot Partition, listed under “\boot”
2x your current amount of RAM for Linux Swap/Paging File(ex: 256MB RAM -> 512MB Paging File, and its REQUIRED for Linux), listed under “\swap”
3GB or more for the Linux OS Partition, listed under “\” which is called “root”

Once this is done, you can continue through the rest of the setup, just make sure that when you reach the point of what Boot loader you want to use, pick GRUB and make sure it installs to the MBR(Master Boot Record). This will cause Linux to boot instead of XP the next time your computer boots from the hard disk.

Once your done picking and choosing what you want installed along with the Linux OS, setup will do the rest for you. Make sure you make a user account for yourself other than “root” when prompted by the Linux setup, because when you are logged into the “root” account you can do anything and everything to the partition Linux resides on, including DELETING THE WHOLE PARTITION by accident.

Post Linux Installation:
Ok, so now we have both OSs installed. Once Linux is finished setting up you can remove the CD, and restart. This time go back into the BIOS setup and set the computer to boot from the hard drive again. GRUB will appear and give you a choice between either Linux and DOS or just Linux to boot to. Select Linux with your keyboard. Linux will boot and bring you to a login screen. Login under the “root” account, using the login name “root” and your “root” password. - This is the only way to modify the necessary file to get Windows XP to boot from GRUB.

Once Linux is finished loading, bring up the Command Line Shell (In Redhat 7.2 this is the computer monitor Icon with a shell on it located in the taskbar, if you can’t find it in either Mandrake or Redhat just hover over each icon with your mouse and the name of the program will appear as “Command Shell”, “Command Line”, or something to that effect.). Once the Command Shell appears, you need to navigate to the following directory and file:

/etc/grub.conf

If you’ve never used the command line interface in Linux before(like me), go to the “Sessions” button and click on the “Root Midnight Commander” (the non-“Root” version won’t allow you to edit the file). This will bring up a very basic GUI(similar to the BIOS setup in use) that will allow you to easily navigate your Linux files.

Once you open up the file, either through the command line or through Midnight Commander, go all the way down to the bottom of the file and add the following lines after the rest of the lines in the file:

PLEASE NOTE that the word TAB inside the brackets indicates where you should indent with a TAB. Make sure that you type the bolded lines in EXACTLY as written above with the spaces and capitalizations all correct. Save it and exit. The next time you restart and the GRUB boot loader comes up, Windows XP should be listed under Linux. Just select it with the keyboard and hit enter. Windows XP should boot up and your system is now dual-booting Windows XP and Linux!! If the Windows XP title does not appear on your GRUB boot loader screen then you know that you did it wrong (real simple test, right? ;-) ). Just go into Linux under your root account, and make sure the added lines look EXACTLY like the bolded lines above. There are NO semi-colons or anything ending the lines.

3. Apa itu SEEDING? dan APA ITU SEEDER?

Seeding adalah suatu proses upload / transfer data ke Internet yang berguna untuk memelihara ketersediaan / kesehatan suatu File Torrent. Seeding akan secara OTOMATIS berlangsung dan tidak perlu dipantau. Namun, proses SEEDING akan memakan pemakaian internet dan speed internet anda, jadi, awasi.

LEECHER adalah "orang jahat". Orang yang melakukan hal tersebut adalah LEECHER.

Memang, leeching kadang diperbolehkan, karena proses seeding terkadang memakan waktu lama dan memperlambat jalannya internet di PC anda. Namun, jadilah orang baik dengan membiarkan proses TORRENT yang sudah selesai tetap berjalan dan melakukan seeding secara otomatis.

5. BAGAIMANA CARA SAYA MEMAKAINYA?

USER INTERFACE
I. AREA DOWNLOAD (TENGAH, LUAS)
1. Name: Nama file yang sedang didownload / atau dipause / aktif
2. #: Queue / prioritas download.
3. Size: Ukuran total file yang ddownload
4. Done: Maksudnya adalah proses (dalam persen) download.
5. Seeds: Jumlah orang yang sedang seeding (penjelasan lihat PART 3)
6. Peers: Jumlah penyalur file yang didownload (semakin banyak, semakin cepat proses
download. Tidak usah dikhawatirkan sih sebetulnya.)
7. Down Speed: Kecepatan Download.
8. Up Speed: Kecepatan upload / seeding (bisa in-process atau after download) eksplanasi
lihat PART 3.
9. ETA: Estimated Time Aleft (waktu yang tersisa untuk proses download, dipengaruhi Speed)
10. Uploaded: Besar data yang telah di-upload (seeding)
11. Ratio: Rasio download.

II. PANEL KIRI
1. Downloading: Total file yang sedang di download (klik untuk list)
2. Completed: Total file yang selesai didownload / sedang seeding (klik untuk list)
3. Active: Total file aktif / download maupun upload (seeding), klik untuk list
4. Inactive: Download yang di-Stop.
5. All Feeds: (tidak penting)

III. PANEL BAWAH
1. General: Data statistik yang menampilkan penjelasan dasar mengenai download / upload
file (beberapa penjelasan ada di bagian I)
2. Trackers: List website yang menjadi penyedia data. (penyedia BUKAN penyalur)
3. Peers: List peer / suatu "tempat" dimana trackers menyalurkan datanya untuk kembali
disalurkan ke PC anda. Tracker dan Peer berhubungan erat dengan download speed.
4. Pieces: Dalam dunia Torrent, download file dilangsungkan secara "piece-by-piece" (keping-
keping "puzzle") jadi jika transfer download terputus, kita masih mempunyai "kepingan -
kepingan" file tersebut (jadi untuk download file yang sama dari website yang sama tidak
butuh waktu lama lagi)
5. Files: Jumlah file yang sedang di-download beserta keterangan total proses download.
6. Speed: Kecepatan download, dihitung 5 detik sekali.
7. Logger: Daftar Log-log.

Bagi yang sama sekali tidak bisa memakai torrent, akan saya jelaskan dasar-dasarnya SEKALI LAGI.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD (uTorrent, best BitTorrent Client!)
1. Cari di Google file / program / software yang diinginkan dengan cara mengetik:
namafile torrent.
2. Akan muncul jendela yang berisi link-link website penyedia sistem download via torrent.
3. Klik salah satunya.
4. Cari tombol "Download this Torrent" / "Download" / "Download Here"
5. Klik Tombol tersebut.
6. Akan muncul jendela kecil download, pilih pilihan "Open With - uTorrent"
7. Jika penasaran akan proses download torrent, buka uTorrent.
8. Akan terlihat proses download-nya (bagian yang paling luas, penjelasan tersendiri)
9. Tunggu proses download sampai selesai (100%)
10. EXTRA: Speed memang tidak pernah stabil, dan avalaibility (bar biru / merah di bawah)
tidak selalu 100 % (garis-garis biru dan putih menandakan transfer berjalan baik /
avalaibility tinggi, sedangkan kalau ada warna merah / merah semua, tandanya speed
akan jadi sangat rendah dan proses download akan sedikit terganggu)
11. TIPS: Anda bisa mem-pause download, klik tanda pause berbentuk dua garis di menubar.
Jika di-pause, anda bisa melanjutkan download lain kali.
12. TIPS: Klik kotak merah untuk Stop download, klik tanda X untuk menghapus semua proses
download yang telah dilangsungkan.

Cara mendeteksi Virus yang PALING MUDAH:

1. Tekan Ctrl+Alt+Del secara bersamaan (memunculkan Task Manager)
2. Setelah Windows Task Manager terbuka, pilih opsi Process
3. Akan terlihat banyak proses-proses yang sedang berjalan.
4. Waspadai proses yang ber-ekstensi .EXE (EXE huruf kapital), .tmp, atau ekstensi yang tidak jelas (misalkan blablabla.XXX)
5. Misalkan ada proses ber-ekstensi seperti itu, coba lihat berapa besar resource (pemakaian RAM) yang terpakai di sebelah kanan panel.
6. Jika memakai lebih dari 3000 K, bisa dibilang itu

CS Skin adalah suatu file pengganti models / "skin" objek, baik itu senjata, player (Terrorist dan Counter Terrorist), maupun objek di map.

Dengan CS skin yang telah dibuat dan dikreasikan sedemikian rupa, permainan CS akan lebih meriah. Misalkan, pisau dapat diganti menjadi ikan salmon (sudah dicoba... konyol... bayangkan menampar orang menggunakan ikan sampai mati ^^), grenades menjadi kaleng deodorant AXE (3 warna), ataupun pistol USP menjadi pistol revolver.

Cara memakai:
UNTUK WEAPON / SENJATA:
1. extract / copy file2 berformat .mdl (yang sudah di-download) kedalam folder yang tepat.

LANGKAH-LANGKAH
1. Pada browser Internet PC anda, buka situs http://www.clubmogames.com
2. Pada situs, daftarkan diri anda sebagai member (tenang, registrasi mudah dan gratis)
3. Cari game yang anda mau (pada search bar di bagian atas)
4. Klik pada screenshot game yang anda mau.
5. Klik link (dengan nama yang cukup aneh) yang berukuran teks kecil dan terletak di bawah deskripsi game.
6. Laksanakan download file.
7. Pada komputer, buka file .Rar / .zip (archive), lalu extract ke desktop (terserah anda)
8a. Jika yang keluar adalah file berisikan gambar2 dan file2 lain (disertai file .MANIFEST),
proses yang akan dilaksanakan adalah proses CARA PERTAMA
8b. Jika yang keluar adalah file "Nokia Application" (ber-icon Nokia PC suite), proses nya adalah
CARA KEDUA.

CARA PERTAMA:
1. Copy folder utama yang berisikan file-file yang banyak tersebut (atau buat folder baru)
2. Sambungkan handphone anda ke PC anda (pastikan Nokia PC suite aktif)
3. Setelah tersambung, buka handphone anda pada My Computer (pada icon Nokia File Browser)
4. Klik icon handphone anda (mis. N73)
5. Setelah terbuka, klik Tools (pada menubar), kemudian Folder Options

3. Pada Nokia File Browser (di My Computer), buka direktori HP anda
4. Buka memory di Handphone atau di memory card anda
5. Langsung paste saja di salah satu memory tersebut.
6. Cabut handphone anda.
7. Pada File Manager (di Tools, HP Symbian) atau pada program file browser di HP anda, cari file Nokia Application yang baru saja dimasukkan, klik, maka instalasi akan berjalan...

Sedikit info: BitTorrent adalah teknik download file yang dikembangkan demi memenuhi permintaan download software berbayar dengan gratis dan cepat.

1. Download program BitTorrent Client (mis. uTorrent, Vuze, dll.)
1a. CARA MUDAH: Klik salah satu link di posting saya "How To Use BitTorrent" pada bagian "Steps" (ada banyak lho!)

2. Carilah software yang diinginkan di internet dengan cara mencari menggunakan search engine semacam Google, mis. software "Norton Antivirus", ketiklah dengan menambahkan kata "Torrent Download" di belakangnya (jadinya: Norton Antivirus Torrent Download)

3. Klik salah satu link yang terdapat di "search result page".

4. Klik link "download" di situs penyedia software gratisan dengan format ".torrent"

5. Install software BitTorrent Client yang sudah di download (langkah 1), lalu aktifkan BitTorrent Client tersebut. (WARNING: Lebih baik tunda proses download software yang diinginkan, install dulu BitTorrent Client-nya!")

6. Jika BitTorrent Client sudah aktif, akan terbuka jendela download (yang berupa persegi kecil) di layar browser internet anda. Pilih option save as, atau pilih open with (dengan BitTorrent Client).

7. Tunggu download software yang diinginkan terlebih dahulu. (WARNING: Proses bisa dilihat dengan membuka software BitTorrent Client anda)

8. Setelah selesai, install software yang diinginkan.

9. Jika semua proses telah selesai, jangan exit jendela BitTorrent Client, karena akan ada proses "upload" (memasukkan data kedalam internet) yang diberi istilah seeding.

Do you want to use a BitTorrent client to download from Torrent websites? Torrents are a form of peer-to-peer (p2p) network that instead of using just one server to maintain the download, use the people who have already downloaded the files to download them to later downloaders. This system allows for faster downloads since you are receiving different parts of the file from different places at the same time.

Steps

Download a Bittorent client. Several of the most popular are BitLord, BitComet, Vuze, BiTtornado, µTorrent, or the original BitTorrent. LimeWire 6.14 also supports BitTorrent downloads. Only one is necessary.
Search for torrent sites, and download a .torrent file. Open it, and your BitTorrent program should automatically ask you where to save and initiate your download. Choose a path and start downloading your file!

Tips

Get your terminology in order.
- Leecher - somebody who is currently downloading.
- Seeder - Somebody who is currently uploading the file. The more Seeders, the faster Leechers download their file.
- Tracker - this is the overlord, and every torrent website has one. It keeps track of all the seeders and leechers, and all other activity.
- Torrent (*.torrent) File - Usually, this is a small file you download that gives instructions to your BitTorent client about which people have the file for download.
Give back the community! Once you have downloaded the file, start seeding it. In your software, it should have an Upload:Download Ratio. Keep it until that gets to 1. This means that you have supplied the whole file to someone else.
You should always share close to your total upload speed, which you could set in your bittorent programs options.
When downloading a file, a Torrent with a high number of seeders and optimally also a low number of leechers will result in a faster download.
A Torrent without any seeds but a high number of leechers could mean your download can finish, but without a seed, the whole file may not exist.
Many web sites which host torrent files are public but some are private. Private sites are usually geared towards one particular topic such as Music Only, Movies Only, etc. Many private sites require an invite from a registered member to join. Check forums and IRC Chat rooms where people who are interested in that particular topic your interested in may hang out. Don't scream out "Does anyone have any invites". Space Siege dibuat oleh pengembang dan desainer yang sama dengan yang membuat game Dungeon Siege. Akan tetapi, jangan berharap bahwa game ini akan menyerupai Dungeon Siege. Meski dinyatakan sebagai game action RPG, porsi action justru jauh lebih banyak daripada elemen RPG-nya.

Pengembangan karakter lumayan minim. Game ini bahkan tidak menganut sistem experience. Poin hanya akan didapat begitu Anda menye-lesaikan misi. Poin ini kemudian bisa didistribusikan untuk memilih Skill/ Ability. Sayangnya, skill-tree yang tersedia tidak banyak, dan hanya terdiri dari dua cabang; combat dan engineer. Anehnya lagi, skill yang lebih advance dari kedua cabang menuntut anda mengimplant cybernetic organ, yang artinya akan mengurangi kadar kemanusiaan Anda. Alhasil bermain sebagai 100% manusia jadi kurang memungkinkan.

Implantasi cybernetic organ sebenarnya bukan ide orisinal milik Space Siege. Restricted Area lebih dulu memperkenalkannya. Hanya saja, Space Siege memang jauh lebih mu

Heroes of Might and Magic V - Strategy Game

Close to three years after Ubisoft first bought the Might & Magic license from defunct hardware/software firm 3DO, the first of two titles set in the new M&M world of Ashan, Heroes of Might & Magic V is finally released to a patiently waiting fan base. Very much considered by Ubisoft to be a re-launch of the series (evident in the creation of Ashan), the burden of responsibility to create this fifth Heroes game belongs to Nival Interactive whose past exploits include the Blitzkrieg series of RTS for German publisher CDV. So with a pedigree in RTS titles, have they been able to do the game justice or will the passionate fans of HOMM lay siege to their offices?

Continuing with the established turn-based structure of the previous instalments of the series, HOMMV features six campaigns across six different races, each with their own story to tell. Beginning with the campaign of Isabel before moving onto the next Hero character, players are given a gentle introduction to the mechanics of the game from the bare basics of the control system and the turn-cycle to the various items that can affect a battle, and the development of abilities and spells. From the start of the very first mission, fans of the series will notice a distinct visual difference between HOMMV and previous instalments: Nival and Ubisoft have brought the series into the third dimension for the very first time. For gamers accustomed to playing their games in 3D environment, something that has achieved even in the RTS genre, such a point would barely raise a glimmer of excitement. However for HOMM fans, the move is a natural evolution required if the franchise is to survive in the current climate.

Gameplay is split into two separate and very distinct modes: Adventure and Tactics. For a majority of time, players will find themselves in the Adventure mode, where exploration of the land and resource development takes place. Best described as a turn-based-RPG with RTS resource gathering, the Adventure mode sees players take control of that campaign's Hero character as they complete their objectives and over-arching missions. As with RTS titles there's a fog of war covering unexplored areas which is nothing new, but perhaps what's startling is exactly how dramatic it actually is, taking the form of a jet black cloud that makes the discovered lands seem all the more saturated in colour. Despite the somewhat amalgamation of genres, there is something definitely unique about the structure of the game, mainly down to the cyclical nature of the turns and the chess-like combat sequences of the Tactic Mode.

Exploring the land presented within separate missions, players can travel across most terrains although crossing rougher ground limits the distance a party can move within a turn. Throughout travelling players will come across up to seven different types of resources from the scarily abundant Gold through to some of the more unusual resources such as Mercury and Gems. The latter two are more rare, although capturing various settlements such as mines allows a regular income of them to develop over time. For much of the Adventure mode players will find themselves trying to accomplish a number of objectives, which are updated throughout the course of a mission. A standard and permanent objective is that the Hero character survives the mission, whilst others are more varied from the gathering of a certain number of units, resources, or even the capture of a town/city within a set period of time (based on the number of turns rather than real-time).

Such a gameplay structure will be familiar to both players of RTS and RPG games, yet at times HOMMV felt all too repetitive especially when it was a bit of a struggle to build an army with a certain number of a type of unit (for example '100 Archers'). For a game that's already not exactly the quickest paced title, such repetitiveness bogs the gameplay down further and unless you're a real fan of the series it may be a bit too much to ask to play HOMMV for hours on end.

Dropping the sci-fi elements of the previous HOMMV titles, Nival has focused on creating a solely fantasy world, and as such magic plays a key part. Carrying a spell book that gradually fills with a range of different spell types as players progress through the game and learn from Magic Guilds, the wealth of magic at their disposal grows to encompass most areas of gameplay. Forming a key part of a Hero character's development, the ability to cast spells sits alongside other aspects of the their progression including skills and abilities, which evolve as their Experience Points build up. As with any RPG-styles game, experience is accumulated through combat, and thanks to the generous amounts of combat early on in the game it doesn't take much to get up to and beyond Level 10 in the first couple of missions. Coupled with the turn-based time system, there's really a sense of character development over time, something that can sometimes be lost in other titles.

An important facet in the Adventure mode is the capturing and developing of towns. Whilst a sizeable army can be required to accomplish the task, the rewards can be significant (even if the only reason you do it is to complete a preset objective), and necessary when the Hero characters face up to some of the more challenging opponents. On occasions where players have to destroy a town's walls, Heroes can call upon a catapult to allow units to begin battle. In a slightly confused idea, players will sometimes have to destroy a settlements defences and take control of it, before its armies agree to fight on the side of the Hero. Couldn't a little bit of bribery or diplomacy work instead? Actually there is diplomacy in the game, but it seems more closely tied with bribing local militia into joining a player's army.

Developing a town is very much like character progression, with its 'Level' calculated by the number of strategic buildings (like blacksmiths and forts) it contains. Essentially a hub for army development, towns provide a lynchpin to a Hero's success with the buildings providing everything from war machines, new Heroes, and further military fortification. As with the character development, there's a real sense that towns develop over time as they become stronger and more populated with essential buildings. Towns are also where players can learn new magic skills, providing that a Magic Guild is based there, with its evolution complete if the player brings back the Tears of Asha artefact, a non-essential item but one that can help make completing missions easier to achieve. Like the rest of the game, there's no resource micro-management that detracts from the main objectives or combat situations, instead it all goes on developing strong enough armies to fulfil the overall campaigns.

Moving onto the second gameplay mode, the combat driven 'Tactic Mode', players will find themselves sitting across a grid, with their military units positioned in the first two rows. Obstacles such as rocks or logs can block the route towards enemy units, which are situated on the other side of the grid in a style similar to chess. Once combat has begun, the turn-based gameplay of RPGs sees players first move their units and then (if possible) attack their opponents from up to eight different angles. A breakdown of potential damage inflicted and whether the enemy will retaliate is also given, which can influence whether an attack will go ahead. Hero characters can also join in the combat and have the advantage of being able to attack from anywhere on the board. Ranged units such as archers can also attack from distance though town walls and other obstacles can block their strike.

What the grid setup does, is allow the standard turn-based RPG combat system to develop into something more strategic, thanks to the ability for units to move around the board and amend tactics as the battle progresses. Stacking the unit types so that for instance 120 peasants appear as a single unit on the board not only simplifies matters (after all how big would a battle grid have to be to accommodate such a figure), but also allows their offensive success to be shown easily as their numbers decrease during the course of the fight. It's a really good way of recreating battlefield sequences and tie them into RPG elements, with players developing a sense of being an 'armchair general' as their strategies and experience develop.

Despite a fairly clean HUD, there's actually a wealth of information available to players within a couple of mouse clicks that can breakdown everything from troop numbers to Hero biographies, and spells. It's always going to be difficult to judge the balance between the depth of information and maintaining a gamer-friendly interface, and despite some initial feelings of getting lost amongst the web of icons within icons and hidden screen, the end result is fairly successful in accomplishing this. The problem does seem to stem from the RPG elements built into the game, which further complicates the amount of icons and details for players to absorb, that said there is some information (such as biographies) that aren't as essential as others.

HOMMV also features a number of Multiplayer mode, which provide a respite from the lengthy campaigns provided in the single-player mode. The four-player Hot Seat mode, based on the turn-based structure of the main game, allows players to take part in a number of objectives such as capturing a town with the winner being the first one to complete the mission. Players can also take part in multiplayer missions via a LAN connection or through Ubi.com, which allows for team play and alliances to occur. Despite these options, the main reason to buy Heroes of Might & Magic V lies much more with the single-player campaign, which at least allows players to play for as short or as long a time as they have. Not only do multiplayer games fail to have any sense of instant action, instead providing players with something of a drawn out slog of an experience, but they probably wont be the domain of casual HOMMV gamers.

stabil ndak pak koneksinya? itu tergantung penuh tidaknya BTS kah? baru liat-liat alternatif internet untuk dikost. masih bingung antara 3g dan speedy. up nya itu dihitung gak ya? atau bebas? masuk quota atau tidak maksudnya:D

Saya pemakai indosat3g paket unlimited medium, bulan pertama begitu mengesankan, bulan selanjutkan menjengkelkan.

Kenapa?
1. Akses internet sudah tidak stabil (mungkin kebanyakan pemakaian) di ping trus setiap 10-15 kali los 3-5x
2. Kecepatan download koneksi upto 1mbps cuma terasa setelah jam 2-6 pagi, jadi mesti jadi kelelawar dulu 3. Kecepatan upload dari 512mbps turun jadi 100-300mbps
4. Selesai lewat batas bandwith 2.5GB kecepatan 64kbps semakin sulit tercapai paling maximal 58-60kbps, dan lebih sering ga bisa konek, putus mulu.. ping 100x dapat 10x.. totally sudah ga bisa dipake kecuali ym saja, dgn catatan mesti bisa sign in dulu
Untuk kecepatan bandwidth test pake speedtest.net pakailah server luar, kecepatan bulan pertama seh saya test bisa 2762 kbps (melbourne), 2332kbps (tainan/taipei).. tapi bulan-bulan selanjutnya he he coba deh sendiri ..apakah spt point 2 deh

Indonsat3g tipu banget, baru awal bulan sudah abis bandwidth 3.5GB .. gila ngak.. unlimitednya nipu, kelebihan bulan lalu dihitung pada awal bulan depan. Sudah bayar mahal untuk akses lebih cepat eh.. malah ketipunya lebih banyak

Saya sudah langganan indosat3g sekitar 10bulan lalu, waktu diawal memang speednya cepat. Pokonya mau donlod 10mb cuma butuh beberapa menit saja (lebih cepat daripd speedy personal)
Sewaktu di awal pemakaian tidak ada masalah, tapi sekitar 4 bulan kemarin sudah mulai bermasalh dengan speednya pdhl sinyal cukup bagus 3-5 bar (modem ZTE). Sewaktu saya tanyakan ke CS jawabannya mungkin krn sy browsing di dalam ruangan (mmg sy berada di dalam kamar), JIka mmg didalm ruangan yg jd mslhnya seharusnya itu sudah menjadi maslah di awal pemakaian karena dari awal sy sdh menggunakn di dlm kmr (area sy di mangga dua, yg merupakan salah satu pusat bisnis)
Sy sdh menanyakan jg apakah mgkn ini krn modemnya yg kualitasnya jelek? tp CS blg bkn di mslh modemnya.
Dan saya rasa ini bkn krn mslh didalam ruangan tapi masalah dgn indosatnya sendiri yang mungkn jmlh user semakin banyak, tapi tdk dibarengi dengan penambahan kapasitas atau maintancenya.
TApi dengan speed yg notabene seperti gprs saja utk apa sy hrs membyr semahal 3g (350rb + PPN 10%). Yg jika kt guanakn FIRST MEDIA hy 100ribu.
Sekarang mau donlod 5mb sj bisa smp 1 jam belum kalo tiba2 dari hsdpa berubah jd umts malah jd hang.
Sy pernah coba SPEEDY py teman, ternyata Indosat3g tidak ada apa2nya. Pdhl sehrnya speed 3G jauh lbh cpt dibanding SPEEDY.
Yg sy bingung ini sebenarnya 3G atau 3Geblek?

Aku dah sakit ati ama indosat.
Pertama pake Indosat 3,5G Broadband pada saat promosi, truz dapet perdananya. Setelah 3 hari akhirnya aktip juga. Setelah aktip sih seneng2 aja, tapi belom nyampe 2 minggu smuanya berakhir. Pihak indosat tiba2 memblokir kartuku dengan alasan gagal verifikasi. Emang sih aku salah karena pake identitas temen. Soalna ga bawa KTP. Akhirnya harus berhenti berlangganan tapi harus membayar penuh tarif 100 ribu meskipun dipake kurang dari 2 minggu.

Setelah buat KTP aku daftar lagi ke indosat, tapi aktivasinya jadi luama buanget… Seminggu lebih sehari baru bisa aktip. Tapi sama kayak sebelumnya, sebelum 2 minggu diblokir lagi karena gagal verifikasi. Indosat melakukan verifikasi dengan menelpon pelanggan dan mencocokkan identitas yang ada dengan identitas yang dijawab. kalo ada yang beda, langsung dblokir. Saat pemblokiran kedua, alasannya sangat gak bisa aku trima. Saat indosat telepon, aku lagi ujian, jadi ga aku angkat, setelah itu langsung main blokir gitu aja. Gimana gak sebel tuh!

Aku gak mo bayar ah ntar. Pokokna udah sebel!
Indosat tidak memperhatikan kepuasan dan kenyamanan pelanggan. Indosat hanya memperhitungkan bisnis. Aku males bolak balik ke galery. Emang ga da kerjaan lain apa! Apa artinya tarif murah kalo gak puas! Aku ngenet pake hotspot kampus aja lah.
